Claire Justice Porter is an actor, singer, and director currently living in New York City. She is a graduate from the University of Mississippi: BFA Acting for the Stage and Screen.

 

In college, Claire excelled in performance: for her role in The Wolves, Claire received the Irene Ryan nomination with the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Additionally, during college, she assistant directed several shows both on the mainstage and in the secondary stage. She was also artistic director for Ghostlight Repertory Theatre - Oxford's student run theatre. Post college, Claire worked at New Stage Theatre as their Acting/Directing Associate, where she toured around the state of Mississippi, while also teaching and performing with New Stage.

 

After moving to New York City, she became the final Production Assistant Manager for the theatre icon Sleep No More. Claire led the PA team until its closing in January of 2025.

 

She absolutely loves improv, and participated in Umprov Theatre in Oxford, in addition to starting her own improv troupe in Jackson, MS called To Kick a Mockingbird. Recently, Claire advanced to the national preliminary round of the National Associate of Teachers of Singing for Musical Theatre.
